#1. Practice Love.
Everyone has lovable qualities when you get to know them. If you don’t like someone, focus on finding one quality you can appreciate about them and remind yourself of that rather than focusing on the things you don’t like.
#2. Find Something to Praise.
If you constantly criticize another person’s behavior, you’ll eventually find yourself criticizing everything they do. Instead, find something to praise about each person you encounter, however small. By finding something you like in each person rather than focusing on what you don’t like, you’ll begin the habit of seeing the positive in everything.
#3. Believe in Others.
When you believe in other people, you oftentimes create a corresponding belief in yourself. Humans have a tendency to want to live up to the opinion others have of them. Believing in someone else’s ability can inspire them to achieve things they themselves may not have believed they were capable of. If you want people to believe in you, believe in them.
#4. Help People.
Do something kind every day for as many people as you can. Life was made for service. The more value you provide to the world the more you’ll receive from life. Never do a good deed with the expectation of it being repaid, just be helpful because it is the right thing to do.
#5. Encourage Others.
Most people in the world don’t feel appreciated enough. An easy way to solve this is to offer praise every opportunity possible. Make it a point to say happy birthday, ask about their children, always be aware of an opportunity to say a kind word. Genuine praise can drastically improve another person’s life. By sincerely appreciating something about another person you help them to appreciate it too.
#6. Believe in Yourself.
None of the above can be done unless you believe in your ability to do it. You were created for a specific reason. Everything that has led you to this point in your life was designed to support that purpose. We all have unique gifts. Find yours and use it to the best of your ability. Fulfill your purpose.
Ignore the past, and be thankful you have the opportunity to improve today.
