There are a number of common faults and habits which you should persistently try to avoid. Do not mislead yourself with deceptive excuses, instead remove these negative qualities from your nature if they are there.

These negative habits are irritability, intolerance, anger, worry, supersensitivity, ill-temper, restlessness, sullenness, resentment, moodiness, discourtesy, captiousness, cynicism, impulsiveness, unkindness, false pride, presumption, carelessness, insincerity, indiscretion, selfishness, disloyalty, self-assertion, disparagement, insinuation, and hyper-criticism.

These undesirable characteristics react upon the guilty one, and therefore should be avoided if only for self-interest.
