Vincent Laforet took these once in a lifetime photos of New York City at night by flying above the streets of New York literally dangling himself out of a helicopter. Laforet ran into a few issues in the process. First he had to find a pilot crazy enough to fly at such a high altitude at night. He then had to get special clearance to fly above airline traffic, and then he had to make sure he didn’t panic while taking the photos. He said this photo shoot was “the scariest. . . and the most beautiful” flight of his career.
