Michael Beitz is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Michael skillfully combined beautiful designs with meticulous craftsmanship to create these four amazingly designed tables. There’s a looping picnic table, a melting picnic table, and even a table in the shape of a tree.
They’re definitely art, but the kind of art you want to eat on.

While in residence at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Michael Beitz built this 10-foot-long picnic table that looks to be melting and dripping down over railing to the terrace below.
The table was built from laminated poplar. A video of the construction process can be seen here.
