CHEW your food thoroughly. The most important thing when eating is being aware of what you consume. Avoid the common fault of quickly consuming food. If you are in a hurry, eat less and chew more. Thorough chewing of food not only makes it more palatable, but is a valuable aid to digestion.
Be discriminating in your choice of food. Eat for health. Plain, well-cooked food is much more nourishing than over-variety. If a food disagrees with you, give it up. Eat plentifully of fresh vegetables and fruits. Relish your food, but never eat to satiety. Most people eat too much. The quantity and type of food you eat be determined by the nature of your daily work and activities. Keep your wants few and simple, and eat only food that agrees with you.
