ELIMINATE resistance and resentment from your mind.
Know them as subtle mental poisons. If things go wrong, look first for the cause in yourself. Be quick to acknowledge your own shortcomings, and quickly work to correct them.
Take time to improve your own nature, and seek to influence other people by your example rather than by your criticism. In the face of unjust opposition, violent argument, or personal abuse, hold yourself in poise, knowing that truth is infallible.
A genial temper, broad charity, and quiet equanimity, under all circumstances, will give you mastery of yourself and the situation. The silent and unconscious example of high thinking will do more on your part to help others than many words and much counsel.
